Today I went to City Hall and trained on how to be a candidate. I also met one of my fellow candidates Thea Selby. It was fun to talk issues with her. One of the reasons I am running is because it engages my spirit to be involved in the issues that effect my community. I am really looking forward to it.
So when I got back from my Sabbatical in Asia some of my colleagues asked me, "Are you running for Supervisor?" "How did you know?", I asked. Apparently my name was in the SF Gate amongst the candidates who filed papers to run. So even though I hadn't told anybody people already knew. It's on I thought! I'm ready. Now I'm working on my website and developing my list of issues. Since Harvey Milk used to be the Supervisor of District 5 I am studying his tactics to use in this race. This is going to be fun!
